The Renaisance Choir is a group of about 35 singers of all ages, which meets weekly in Emsworth in Hampshire on a Friday evening. The choir gives several public performances every year, in Hampshire and Sussex, and travels abroad when conditions allow. Countries visited include France, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Czechoslovakia and Poland. The spectrum of music is fairly broad but contains a preponderance of Renaissance music written for the church. (For those who have not heard it, Rossinis Mass is not particularly solemn or small! Even the accompaniment may be a joke, being scored for piano and harmonium)
